Mini-lesson — Celebrating Readers

Every reader grows step by step. Today we pause to look back and smile at how far you have come!

In Level 1 reading, you:

  • learned many sounds and words
  • read stories with characters and settings
  • read informational texts with real facts
  • did reading projects like logs, covers, and book talks

On Reading Celebration Day, we:

  • look back at what we learned
  • share favorite books and facts
  • feel proud of our reading growth

When you celebrate your reading, you are saying, “I am a reader, and I am ready for Level 2!”
